Parking at MetLife Stadium
NOTE: For parking information on the current Super Bowl, click here.The Super Bowl host committee is expected to encourage fans attending the game or associated festivities including the NFL Experience and Super Bowl Boulevard to use public transportation to the greatest extent possible. Some lots near the stadium are offering tailgating packages that include shuttle transportation on game day, and many fans will use park-and-ride options near New York-New Jersey transit stations.
There are about 24,000 parking spaces in 14 lots surrounding MetLife Stadium and another 5,000 spaces in adjacent lots to the east of the stadium. But only about half of the stadium spaces will be sold to verified ticket holders. (UPDATE: Official NFL-sanctioned stadium parking has sold out as of 1/24. Reserve 2014 Super Bowl parking in advance
Many fans will opt to reserve Super Bowl parking before the game so they know where they're headed on game day. Spaces near the stadium at last check were going for about $80 for a car and about $200 for a bus or RV. In most cases, that includes a round-trip shuttle to the Secaucus Junction station, which takes you directly to the stadium. Others, including Redd's Restaurant parking, includes a direct shuttle to the stadium. Some lots even allow tailgating, which is not permitted at NFL-sanctioned lots. Prices and availability are subject to change until you reserve a space. Another game-day option is the Fan Express Bus, which will pick up passengers at nine designated locations on Super Bowl Sunday. Pick-up spots include Grand Central Terminal, Battery Place, Madison Square Park, Time Warner Center, Waldorf Astoria and Newark International Airport.
